If you haven't heard,

Hunter Moore was hit in the face by a line drive at our Sr. Legion Game last night.
The last I heard, there was internal bleeding and he was going into surgury late last night.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
I'll keep everyone posted on his condition later.

Thanks,

Sarge

Hunter is home now, Dr's need the swelling to go down.
Will have to go in for reconstructive surgery soon.

I've seen three close calls already this Legion season. Two hit the pitcher and one screamed by his head. What was the make and model of the bat, if you know? I'm interested in the wood bat vs. aluminum bat debate. Just curious what was the age or experience level of the batter and the pitcher?

Wishing the best outcome for Moore.

If I'm not mistaken we played FLB Legion one time and they used wood bats.

Both players are Juniors going to be Seniors (17 years old)
with plenty of playing experience.

Batter was using a TPX EXO

Pitcher was in the wrong place at the wrong time
after his follow through.

Another unpdate on Hunter Moore,

Hunter will be going to St. Vincents on June 22 to have a
Titanium Plate inserted into the right side of his face.

He has 6 fractures in his cheek and a broken nose.

If everything goes well, he should be OK in 3-4 weeks.
